Steve Grimmett -frontman of the pioneering New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) band Grim Reaper has confirmed that he is gaining from his surgery. The 57 year old singer has his leg amputated on during a show at Guayaquil, Ecuador on January-14. He was rushed to the hospital when he felt a severe pain on his right leg. According to a Facebook post by his wife, Millie he has undergone an operation “to remove an infection from his foot and bones,” Later on on January-17, his right leg has been amputated due the fact the infection was spreading and it was need to be stopped.
On Thursday (June-08,2017) Steve has posted a video in his official Facebook page where he was shown walking in the hospital with his prosthetic legs on.
Addition to the video are following message posted by Steve himself.
“Ok I promised I would keep you all updated this video was taken at my rehabilitation session this morning, I can’t tell you how exited I was this morning it’s all going so well, this is all thanks to the guys at Nuffield hospital in Oxford especially Jane without I wouldn’t be this far, thank you guys”

GRIM REAPER‘s debut album, “See You In Hell”, was released in 1984 and was distributed worldwide through RCA. A successful world tour in support of the album included an appearance at Texxas Jam in front of over 20,000 people. The band’s 1985 follow-up, “Fear No Evil”, showed improvement on the production front and also enjoyed moderate success in both the United States and Europe.
Ebony Records delayed the release of the band’s third album, “Rock You to Hell”, by almost two years. The LP eventually arrived directly through RCA in 1987.
Last year the band, which is currently known as Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper has launched their latest album “Walking In The Shadows” through Dissonance Productions.
