Farewell Zeheen

SHOCKING!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

These were the words which everyone were saying ever since the news has gone viral. Renowned keyboard player Manam Ahmed’s son Zeheen Ahmed committed suicide yesterday afternoon at his house. The incident happened at around 3 p.m when he was not responding from his room.

His body was taken to Labaid Hospital after he was found. Dhanmondi police identified the cause of death to be hanging by a rope in the primary inspection.

According to hospital sources, Zeheen hanged himself around 3pm in his Dhanmondi apartment. His family took him to the hospital around 3:35pm. Doctors pronounced him dead at 4:40pm.

His body was buried at the family graveyard today, after the noon prayer.

The 27 year old musician was a talent in the music scenario of the country; especially among the youngsters. He was a talented guitarist who was a member of the famous metal band from Dhaka – Mechanix; he has played in their debut album titled Oporajeyo and some of their future singles. He also played with the pioneering alter rock band – Nemesis for sometimes.

Zeheen’s father Manam Ahmed, has been the keyboard player of the famous rock band Miles for many years.

His death comes a mere two days after the suicide of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, of whom Zeheen was a huge fan. Chester also hanged himself on the birthday of one of his closest friends, Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell, who also killed himself.

The news of his death has gone all across the social media. Notable musicians and fans has expressed their thoughts over the incident.
